   Pour le poète CHARLES TIMOLEON PASQUALINI (1840-1866) rien n’est plus beau que son village.
Jeune bachelier à 15 ans fit carrière dans la marine impériale et écrivis un recueil de poèmes intitulé Choses du siècle et choses du cÅ“ur dans lequel  on peut lire un magnifique poème sur son village (extrait en chapeau de l’article)
La commune formée de cinq hameaux nichés au milieu des châtaigniers et oliviers fut pendant des siècles le chef lieu de canton avec cours supérieur, poste, perception. Après une période de déclin et de léthargie elle est redevenue dynamique  avec l’installation de jeunes entrepreneurs (éleveurs, électricien, maçon…).Campile revit avec ses associations culturelles, sportives, et festives. Le club omnisports campilais organise chaque année au mois de mai un semi marathon qui attire non seulement les insulaires mais également des continentaux. En juillet/aout le tournois de football devient un événement majeur. La mise en activité d’une fosse universelle de ball-trap ouverte toute l’année constitue le fleuron d’un renouveau qui fait la fierté de notre village.
Campile berceau de la  piéve de Casaconi n’a pas changé. Son église St Pierre et St Paul de style baroque construite au 18éme siècle se dresse fièrement sur la belle place du village. Elle renferme le tableau de la vierge aux raisins offert par Napoléon III. Son clocher d’une hauteur de 57 m qui fut le plus haut de Corse s’écroulât le 3 mars 1918, et fut reconstruit dix ans plus tard. Vous pourrez voir  au hameau de Costa la fontaine de l’albaredu et la chapelle de st Roch ; celle de lavasina à antibia et de st Antoine à Vergagliese.
Dés le 18éme siècle la famille Gavini marqua l’histoire du village et de la Corse ; en 1755 Denis Gavini est  à la tete de la délégation de la pieve de Casaconi qui nomma Pascal Paoli général de la nation. Ces descendants furent députés et ministres.
Campile été  connu pour son artisanat ; le hameau de Canaja doit sa réputation à la fabrication de poterie allant au feu direct  faite à partir d’un mélange d’argile et d’amiante, autre particularité de ces poteries vient du fait quelles ne sont  pas tournées mais faites à partir de boudins. Le  hameau  de Costa est le berceau du couteau «  u campilese » dont le créateur  Pierre-François Graziani est mort en 1917.
Son atelier de peinture, ses spécialités de farine et de gâteaux de châtaigne, ses viennoiseries vous invitent à faire une halte si vous passez par là. C’est aussi le point de départ d’un  sentier de randonnée balisé permettant d’admirer les monts San Angelo et San Pedrone  ainsi que la plaine du golo et l’étang de Biguglia.

Per il poeta Charles Timoleonte PASQUALINI (1840-1866) è niente di più bello che il suo villaggio.
Bachelor giovane all'età di 15 anni ha avuto una carriera nella Marina Imperiale e scrisse un libro di poesie dal titolo Cose del secolo e le questioni del cuore in cui abbiamo letto una bella poesia per il villaggio (preso nel paragrafo introduttivo dell'articolo)

Il comune è composto da cinque borghi immersi tra gli ulivi e castagni è stata per secoli la capitale del Cantone con l'estensione superiore, percezione. Dopo un periodo di declino e letargia è tornata con l'installazione di dinamici giovani imprenditori (agricoltori, elettricista, muratore ...). Campile rivive con le sue associazioni culturali, sportive e festosa. Il club sportivo campilais organizza ogni anno a maggio una mezza maratona che attira non solo l'isola, ma anche continentale. Nel mese di luglio / agosto il torneo di calcio è un evento importante. L'attività di realizzazione di un piattello fossa universale, aperto tutto l'anno è il fiore all'occhiello di rinnovamento che è l'orgoglio del nostro paese.

Luogo di nascita Campile di Pieve Casaconi non è cambiata. La sua chiesa di San Pietro e Paolo costruita in stile barocco nel 18 ° secolo si erge orgogliosamente nella piazza del paese bello.
